As I was trying to decide on a quote I thought expressed me and my outlook on school and life in general I knew I needed to find inspiration from one of my favorite movies, Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. I love this movie because it has a bright and happy environment for imagination, especially for children, in the growing brown and grey of the grown-up world. It also has a gentle but deep feeling of sadness in it because of the way a life can be so amazing and yet so simple. I loved the characters and the I felt the casting was spectacular. As I watched the movie for who knows how many times I realized there was more than one quote I loved and felt strongly about. I decided I couldn't have one without the others.
"Your life is an occasion, rise to it." This quote means a great deal to me because I believe everyone has an infinite potential. Everyone changes the world in their own way.
These words have helped me when I have been scared or sad about the things going on in my life. I have found a great deal of strength in the reminder that the things I do and the things that happen in my life are important. I have tried to share these words with others and help them to find this strength within themselves as well. |
"We must face tomorrow. Whatever it may hold. With determination, joy and bravery" This quote is important to me because sometimes the things we have to do to succeed are scary. Sometimes we get nervous about things that seem big and unattainable. Sometimes we don't quite get to the goal we wanted.
Good news is, there is always Tomorrow. I have always loved the idea of time. I like to believe that Tomorrow is perfect, Yesterday is a mess, and Today is the day we can change the world. And so this quote, to me, means that we bring our influence and our messy past with us into the perfect tomorrow to change the world. |
