A Day In Biology
I had Biology during my sophomore year at AMES. I sat in the middle of the front row between Kati Clark and Luke Sherner. Ms. Aho was teaching and I was bored (Sorry Aho, but it happens sometimes, but I still really loved your class) so in an effort to stay quiet I pulled out my notebook and started passing notes to Kati, who was also showing signs of boredom. After a couple minutes of this, Luke looked over and saw our quiet distraction. He laughed a little, then decided to join the conversation.
This is one of my favorite memories at AMES because I have been able to look back at it often and remember how cool my friends are. They have been a huge part of my life and have taught me many amazing things that put me where I am today. I also enjoy looking at how my and my friends handwriting has changed over the years. I've always enjoyed thinking that the way a person writes is the physical version of their voice. Often in a person's writing, you can see where they stress words and how they pause on certain words and that is so very interesting to me.
I also like to look at it and wonder, Ms. Aho, did you know we weren't taking notes?
