Survival Kits 2016
As Seniors at AMES we are encouraged to participate in a project of research and action and record the information we learn. Kaitlyn Tull and I chose to work together on this project and brainstormed ideas we might like to think about and work on. We both agreed that we wanted to make something that could stay at AMES and improve the way the students and teachers experience the school community. With this goal in mind we found an amazing idea. I had heard about an interesting and helpful project called "Blessing Bags" a while before and really liked the idea. "Blessing Bags" are Ziploc gallon bags filled with items like a can of soup, socks, paper, and small snacks which can be given to the homeless and others in need.
From this idea Kaitlyn and I created our Survival Kits, which are gallon bags filled with small candies, granola bars, a joke, crayons and coloring pages which will be given to AMES students when they are having a bad day.
